Some of the questions we reguarlly get asked are listed below, if you don’t see a question you would like an answer to get in touch.

  • When should we book with you?

    I only accept a limited number of bookings per year to ensure the most amazing experience to couples… So you should really book as soon as possible! You can check with in here to find out if we have your date available.

  • Where are you based and how far do you travel?

    I am based in Comber just outside Belfast, but I can happily travel to wherever you have planned to celebrate your big day.

  • We have a destination wedding - how do you handle travel?

    I just LOVE photographing destination weddings for couples …

    I don’t charge you for the time when traveling for the wedding, I  just ask you to cover the expenses to get and stay there. For weddings outside a 75 mile radius of Belfast, I ask for accommodation on the night before the wedding (this ensures that I am definitely there for the big occasion). For weddings outside Ireland/UK, I would ask for 3 nights accommodation (depending on the distance to the destination), 2 nights before the wedding (to give a full day at the location to scout the venue and plan the shooting of your big day) and the night of the wedding.

  • Can you hold our date?

    Once the booking fee is paid (£100) your date is secured.  (Yay!!)  However, if you have expressed an interest and I get inquiries by others for that date before your deposit is paid, I will let you know to give you time to secure it – but it’s a first come first served.

  • What is the advantage of having a second photographer?

    Well, that’s easy… Two heads are better than one after all

    For a start, we are BOTH photographers, we can help you get the best possible photographs of your day.

    We can be in 2 places at the same time (is that like a super hero?)! So, for example, we can be with the bride getting ready and with the groom, or we can be at the front of the church and the back, getting you the best images from all the viewpoints possible. It also means you have twice the artistry and expertise with you throughout the entire day.

  • We are a great couple, but my fiancée is not one to pose for a camera

    Hey don’t worry, that’s what an engagement shoot is there for! This helps me to get to know you and gives you a chance to get to know me. I will help you learn your good angles; how to work and own them! Take a look at some of the engagement shoots here

  • We love photography - especially of photos of ourselves

    Well, that will certainly make our job easier. We love to capture the entire day for you, getting you images of the details and your wedding party etc. But our absolute passion is photographing the couple. Taking you away from the crowds and working with you to create artistic images that will last a lifetime.

  • What happens if it rains?

    If it rains – so what! If you can embrace the rain {dance in raindrops, kiss under the umbrella, put on wellies and kick up the puddles and use it as a very romantic tool}, then we are with you! Your photographs will be stunning and it will be because of the rain!

    Or maybe you’re not so fussed on the wild romantic look. That’s ok too! On days like this, we are experts of light. We are able to bring lights with us, and this allows us to take ordinary interiors, and make them into beautiful backdrops. This means you will have decisions to make. We take our lead from you on days like this, so are you the wellie type? Ultimately, the decision is yours.

  • What is a first look?

    A first look is becoming more popular for couples now. It’s where the couple make plans to see each other for the first time in their wedding outfits, but before the ceremony. We enjoy the emotion and the unique moment that is shared by each couple. For some, though, the first look will be when you walk down the aisle.

  • Will you photograph alternative weddings?

    I love photographing weddings! Any wedding.

  • How long will you be at my wedding for?

    Obviously this depends on your chosen package, but the longer that you have the better. Full photographic coverage allows your day to be more relaxed, and far less stressful . I prefer to be there for the whole day, from preparation to the party as I want you to have the full story of your day captured.

  • Will I be able to print my pictures?

    Yes, we always provide you with all your images in a printable format, however, we always retain the copyright.

  • Can some of the photos be delivered as black and white?

    Absolutely. Who doesn’t love a beautiful black and white image?

  • How long does it take before we receive our photographs?

    You would typically wait around 12 weeks to get your photographs – just long enough for any honeymoon’s to be over and reality to be setting back in… then you have the excitement of seeing all your images from the day.

  • How does the album process work?

    Your album is a showcase of your day, so that’s how we design your album. Using a selection of the best images for each stage of the day, we design your album to tell your story while also turning your album into an artistic, luxurious reminder of your celebration.

    We have a system that works smoothly and ensures you get your album as quickly as possible. We design a 1st draft of the album and give you an electronic copy to proof. If, after viewing the 1st draft you would like to swap some images for ones you prefer, you can do this through the locked online gallery where you choose alternative images you prefer. We then redesign your album, allow you to review a 2nd time, with your new choices, before sending to print.

  • What way will our investment payments work?

    Once your date is secured, you can make payments in installments or as a lump sum – it’s up to you. All I require is for the investment for your package to be paid in full 3 weeks before your big day.

  • Do we need to give you a meal at the reception?

    That is so thoughtful of you! Thank you so much for asking. Yes, that would be fantastic. I am working for the full of the day, often without a chance to have something to eat (I don’t want to miss even one second of your day!), so to be offered a wee something to eat when the reception is taking place is fabulous. Thank you!

  • Do you have backup equipment?

    I photograph with 2 cameras and different lenses (and even more backup!) so even if disaster struck, I have enough equipment to keep on working.

  • Do you offer engagement sessions?

    Yes, of course! Engagement sessions are so important for both of us. For us it gives us a chance to get to know you both; see what makes you tick, what makes you laugh, and to see your great love for each other. For you, it’s a trial run – a chance to learn posing techniques, create in-jokes, and to see how I will work on your wedding day (EEK ~ so exciting!).

  • When should we schedule it?

    Roughly about 8-12 months before your wedding.

  • Do you have insurance?

    Yes, we have insurance.

  • What if something happens to my photographer?

    In my experience to date, I have never had a case where I wasn’t able to photograph a wedding. In the unlikely event something was to happen, I have a network of photographers that can step in.

  • What if our wedding is cancelled?

    If this was to happen you would need to let us know as soon as possible. If it’s canceled 12mths before the date you would be entitled to a full refund minus the non-refundable booking fee. If it’s cancelled 6-11mths before the date, then you would be entitled to a 50% refund, minus the non-refundable booking fee. If it’s cancelled less than 6mths before the date then you would not be entitled to any refund (as it is unlikely we would be able to fill that date with such short notice).
